Ruth MULLEN

Ruth Empey (née Mullen) November 06, 1915 - August 28, 2005 Regrettably, in her sleep, at the Northridge Long Term Care Centre, Oakville on Sunday, August 28, 2005, Ruth Empey in her 90th year. Beloved wife for 65 years of Harold Empey. Loved mother of Marilyn Furtak and predeceased by her daughter Faye Empey. Also survived by her brothers and sisters, John "Bud" Mullen, Dorothy "Dot" McHoull, Jean Jardine, Barbara Gunn and twin sister Ethel Harrison and predeceased by two brothers and three sisters. Ruth was inducted in the Glengarry Sport's Hall of Fame, Maxville, Ontario in 1998 for her 13 consecutive years as singles badminton champ. She was an active sports enthusiast all her life. Private cremation with interment later in Cornwall Cemetery. If so desired, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
