Helen R. Pursey 1939-2005 Helen R. Pursey, 66, of Moncton, passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital on Tuesday, August 30, 2005. Born in Cape Breton on May 9, 1939, she was the daughter the late Ivan and Christina (Parker) Shaw. Helen will be sadly missed by her special friend, Gordon of Moncton; five children, Kevin (Wendy), Brenda (Kevin), Wayne (Kelly), David (Lisa) and Brian (Kim) all of Moncton; grandchildren, Jason, Brandi, Michael, Tyler, Jesse, Courtney, Melissa, Tara, Alisha, Kurtis and special friend's son, Ronald Palmer. She will also be missed by three sisters, Mary, Ruth (Tommy), June (John), as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Helen was predeceased by her husband, Arnold and her sister, Iris. By family request there will be no visitation prior to the funeral service to be held on Friday, September 2 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home followed by a reception in the Garden View Room. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
