John D. Hay 1925 - 2005 John D. Hay 80, of Villa Du Repos and formerly of Villa Providence, Shediac and Waverley Ave. Moncton, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, August 30, 2005. Born in Chatham, he was the son of the late Robert and Loretta (Cripps) Hay. John was a retired C.N.R. Shops Machinist with 42 years service, attended St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church, 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus, Chatham, former member Board of Directors Omista Credit Union, former Treasurer of Machinist Lodge # 594 and member of C.N. Pensioners Association. In his leisure time John enjoyed sports, especially bowling, golfing and walking. John will be sadly missed by his wife Emily (Poirier) Hay; seven daughters, Brenda Hay (Bill Wiseman), Moncton, Barbara Hay, Salmon Arm, BC, Judy Hay, Grande Prairie, AB, Peggy Trought (Bill), Aurora, ON, Cathy Hay (Mike Oosteroff), Salmon Arm, BC, Debbie Richard (Ralph), Miramichi, Coco Fournier (Louis), Halifax; one son, Gara (Kelley), Aurora, ON; 12 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. John was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Predeceased by his sisters, Mary and Marg; brothers, Harold, Arthur, Hubert and Huz. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) Thursday 2 to 4, 7 to 9pm. Funeral Mass at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church Friday September 2, 2005, 11am. Rev. Allison Carroll officiating. Reception following the Mass. Interment, Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
