William "Billy" Michael McLean September 26, 1963 - August 31, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) McLEAN, William “Billy” Michael, 41, of Dartmouth passed away suddenly in Dartmouth on August 31, 2005. Born in Fredericton, he was the son of William “Winky” and Maureen (Gouthro) McLean. Billy grew up in Reserve Mines, and attended the College of Cape Breton, graduating with a degree in Chemical Technology. He later moved to Halifax where he began his 20 year career at Imperial Oil. Billy enjoyed carpentry, working on his truck and loved to walk in Shubie Park, and on the beach. He will be missed by his dogs Elsie and Abbey. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to his friends, and took pride in everything he accomplished. He was very thankful for his two “precious gifts”, his daughters. He is survived by his wife Rhonda Lough; daughters Jillian and Madison, at home; brothers Danny, Edmonton, Darrin (Lisa) Arichat; maternal grandmother Marjorie Gouthro, Glace Bay, mother and father- in-law, Fran and Ed Lough Dartmouth brothers- in-law Ryan (Denise) Dartmouth, Rodney, Hamilton, Robert (Roberta) Dartmouth many aunts, uncles, and nieces who will miss him dearly. He is predeceased by paternal grandparents Frederick and Mary Margaret (Smith) McLean; maternal grandfather Maurice Gouthro, uncle and best friend Blaine, uncle, Shawn and aunt, Sylvia. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 Sunday, September 4, 2005,with funeral service 11 am Monday September 5, 2005, all in Atlantic Funeral Home 771 Main Street Dartmouth. Rev. Ivan Gregan officiating. A reception will follow the service. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Addiction Prevention & Treatment Services 424-5623 Department of Mental Health 464-3111 or the IWK Foundation.
