Mr. G. William "Bill" Yorston February 24, 1935 - September 02, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Campbell's Funeral Home G. William (Bill) Yorston age 70, of Amherst passed away suddenly Friday, September 2, 2005 while vacationing in the Annapolis Valley. Born in Campbellton, N.B., he was a son of the late George and Ardellice (Ritchie) Yorston. Bill worked for Canadian Assemblies in Amherst for 30 years as a purchasing agent. He later worked for Panasonic in Amherst and Halifax as the service manager. Upon retirement in 1996, he returned to Amherst. He enjoyed his computer, reading, spending time at the cottage and with his grandchildren. Bill is survived by his wife the former Elizabeth (Betty) Clarke, two sons George (Sharon) of Antigonish, N.S. and Peter (Jessie) of Dartmouth, two brothers Ritchie (Donna) of Arizona, USA and Kenneth (Judy) of Quispamsis, N.B., four grandchildren Matthew, Joel, Ciara and Claire and two nieces. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service at the request of the deceased. A private graveside service was held. Donations in Bill's memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association, Canadian Cancer Society (Nova Scotia Division) or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
