Lorna Jennett WHEATON

Lorna Jennett Barnes 1911 - 2005 Lorna Jennett Barnes, of K. E. Spencers Memorial Home, passed away at her residence on Friday, September 2, 2005 at the age of 94 years. Born in Wheaton Settlement, NB on July 7, 1911, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Jennett (Rutherford) Wheaton. Lorna was a former cook at the Atlantic Baptist College for several years. She was a member of the Whitepine Baptist Church, a life member of the Womens Missionary Society at the Wheaton Settlement and Petitcodiac Baptist Churches, and a member of the Womens Institute of the Wheaton Settlemen. She is survived by her daughters, Doreen (Robert) McLaughlin of Riverview and Donna (Rick) Eagles of Lower Coverdale; sons, James "Jim" (Kathryn) Barnes of Moncton and George (Sharon) Barnes of Lindsay, Ontario; ten grandchildren, Robyn, Jim, Lisa, Lori, Janis, Kerry, Karla, Lori, Steven and David; also by twenty great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Lytton Rhodes Barnes in 1979 and her grandson, Jeffery in 2001. Resting at Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Road on Sunday, September 4, 2005 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00pm. The Funeral Service will be held at The Riverview Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, September 5, 2005 at 2:00pm with Rev. Gordon Horsman officiating. Interment will be in Wheaton Settlement. In Lorna's memory, donations made to The Wheaton Settlement Cemetery Fund, The Whitepine Baptist Church or to the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by her family.
