Jonathan Cail Lawson 1909 - 2005 BASS RIVER, NB - Jonathan Cail Lawson, 96, of Bass River, NB passed away on Monday, September 5, 2005 at the Rexton Lion's Nursing Home. Born August 29, 1909 in Cails Mills, Kent. Co., NB, he was the son of the late Charles and Annie (Cail) Lawson. Jonathan had been a general merchant, having served the Bass River area for 43 years. He was on the Board of Directors of the St. Mary's Agricultural Fair for many years. He was a great lover of horses and showed his Percherons at both the St. Mary's and Miramichi Exhibitions. He is survived by his wife, Muriel (Makepeace) Lawson of Riverview; two daughters, Dorothy Johnston (Donald), Calgary and Barbara McWilliam (Kenneth) , Riverview; one son, George (Pamela), Surrey, BC; three sisters, Sarah Jane Johnson, Scotch Settlement, Elizabeth Cote (Gerald), Ste. Anne des Plaines, QC, and Georgina Hughes (William), North Vancouver, BC; one brother, James Lawson, Cails Mills; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters, Margaret, Josephine, Helen and Louise. Resting at Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto, NB with visiting hours on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral Service to be held at Thompson's Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, September 8, 2005 at 2:00pm with Reverend Stephen Mawhinney officiating. Interment will be in St. Mark's Presbyterian Cemetery, Bass River, NB.
