Ronald Maxwell Geldart 1944 - 2005 Ronald Maxwell Geldart passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2005 at the Moncton Hospital after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Sussex, NB, he was the son of the late Maxwell and Mabel (Whitters) Geldart. Ron was a former member of the Canadian Armed Forces. After residing in Calgary, AB for many years, he returned to Sussex NB in 2002 to enjoy his retirement years. Ron will be sadly missed by his wife and best friend, Penny (Mason) Geldart; his sisters, Ruth Degan (late Edward), Patricia and Joan Geldart, Hilda Mujoomdar (Arvind), Deborah Leblanc (late Gerald), Cindy Cormier (Edgar Auffrey); brothers, Hebert, Robert (Bernice LeBlanc), Brian (Shannon); and several nieces and nephews who were very near and dear to his heart. A special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, George and Jean Mason of Wolverhampton, England; and his most cherished dogs, Saddie and Max. Cousins, Jessie Maclean and Kathy Copeland; and aunt, Rita Geldart. At Ron's request their will be no visitation. A private family graveside service will be held in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Ron requested any donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Palliative Care Unit of the Moncton Hospital. The family would like to give special thanks to the nurses of the Palliative Care Unit for the compassion and care shown to Ron during his time there. Especially his new friend, Art, who brought a smile to Ron's face. To Ron's friends and neighbors in Sussex and vicinity, a big thank you for your calls, visits and prayers.
