BALLANTYNE, W. ANDREW (ANDY) - Of Rothesay NB, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday, September 4th, 2005. Born on June 2nd, 1924 in Farnham, Quebec. He was the son of the late Thomas B. and Jennie (Ford). Andrew is survived by his loving wife Patricia (Startup) Ballantyne, two sons David (Eloise) of Ontario, and Thomas (Heather) of Saint John, one daughter Mary (Lorne) Flower of Rothesay, a sister Jennie Wildridge of Ont. seven grandchildren: Gillian Young (Kevin), Jennifer Ballantyne, Meagan, Matthew and Morgan Ballantyne, and Ross and Scott Flower; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Andy was predeceased by a brother Thomas. Andy served in World War II, belonged to the Gyro Club of Saint John, Meals On Wheels, Royal Canadian Legion, Ashlar Lodge # 610 London Ont., and was an elder of the United Church. Funeral arrangements are under the professional care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (646-2424). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 8th, 2005 at 2pm from the Fundy Funeral Home "Chapel". Interment will follow the service in Fernhill Cemetery with a reception to follow.
