BURNHAM, PHILIP NOBLES - 80 years of age, of Amherst, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2005 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre. Born in Saint John, N.B., he was a son of the late A. Gray & Elizabeth (Nobles) Burnham. Phil worked as an accountant for Chapman Beverages for over 28 years until retirement. He continued as an accountant, helping many small businesses until his death. He was a member of Christ Church Anglican, Church Of The Good Shepherd the Amherst Golf Club, C.N.I.B. and Ducks Unlimited. He was an avid Bridge player and enjoyed Darts. He is survived by his wife, the former Jean Anderson; a daughter, Jeannie Blenkhorn (Paul) of Pictou Co.; a son, John Philip (Sue) of Saint John; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by an infant son, Richard, and three brothers: Nevin, Gerry and Bill. Phil's remains are resting at Furlong's Funeral Home in Amherst with visiting hours today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. His funeral service will be held at Christ Church on Wednesday, September 7, 2005 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Charlotte Ross officiating. Burial will take place in the Christ Church Cemetery with a reception to follow at the Christ Church Parish Hall.
