Austin E. Lewis FIVE ISLANDS, NS - Austin E. Lewis, 78, of Five Islands, Colchester County passed away Monday, September 5, 2005 at Cumberland Regional Health Centre, Upper Nappan. Born in Lower Five Islands, he was the son of the late Millard and Freeda (Eagles) Lewis. He owned and operated Lewis' Service Station in Five Islands for 10 years. He later moved to Riverview where he managed an Esso Car Wash in Moncton for a number of years, retiring to Five Islands in 1984. He was a member of the Parrsboro Golf Club, Peniel United Church and the Corinthian Lodge #63, Great Village. To Austin, family was everything! He is survived by his wife, the former Marjorie MacBurnie; two daughters, Sharron Brown (Richard), Dartmouth; Ardith Jessiman (Andrew), Moncton; three sons, Brian (Anna Liza), Moncton; Roger (Linda), Riverview; Kevin (Sharon), Moncton; sisters, Ruth MacBurnie, Five Islands, Jean Bedford (Alex), Bible Hill; brothers, Addison (Eileen), Valley; Harold (Lorna), Glenholme; seven grandchildren; a great grandson. He was predeceased by a sister, Iva; a brother, Derald; a grandson, Bradley. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Peniel United Church, Five Islands, Rev. Florence Antle-Brison and Pastor Wayne Yorke officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Peniel United Church, the Five Islands Cemetery or to a charity of choice.
