Raymond Lawrence "Ray" Gallagher Raymond Lawrence "Ray" Gallagher passed away peacefully at The Moncton City Hospital, Moncton, New Brunswick in the presence of his daughter Ann Marie on Tuesday, September 6, 2005. He was 81 years of age. Ray was born in Bath, New Brunswick and is formerly from Mount Stewart, PEI where he operated Gallagher's Grocery Store for many years until his retirement in 1997, when he returned to Moncton to live with Ann Marie. Ray will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by his daughters, Ann Marie of Moncton and Helen of Toronto, Ontario; his grandson, Adam of Toronto; brother, Lawrence (Western Canada) and a large circle of family and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen Gallagher (nee: MacDonald); his parents, Nellie (Higgins) and Lawrence Gallagher; his sisters, Marjorie MacDonald, Christine Gallagher, Florence Allison, Teresa DeAmbrose and Isabel Gallagher; brothers, Daniel,George, Theodore and Donald. Resting at Hennessey Funeral Home, 35 Longworth Avenue, Charlottetown (902-894-4321) until 10:15 Saturday Morning, September 10, then transferred to St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church, Mount Stewart for Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Reverend Maurice Draught officiating. Interment to follow in the family plot at St. Andrew's Parish Cemetery. If so desired, memorials in Ray's memory can be made to the donor's preferred charity.
