ALEXANDER, JULIA ANN - Windsor, formerly of Kentville, went to her heavenly rest in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor on September 18, 2005. Born March 16, 1920 in Bay Bulls Arm (Sunnyside) NL, Judy was a daughter of the late James and Sarah Jane (Vaters) Hutchings. She immigrated to Canada in 1944 starting her new life in Truro where she met and married her husband Melbourne, who predeceased her in 1982. They moved to Kentville where she dedicated her life to her family. Judy was a former member of the New Minas Fifty Plus Club and St. Paul and St. Stephen United Church, Kentville. In 2004 Judy moved to the Gladys Manning Retirement Community, Windsor. Left with wonderful memories are daughter Elizabeth (Wayne) Severin, Quispamsis, sons Derek, Kentville; Barry (Pat), Winsor and Glenn (Carol), Winnipeg; sisters Betty Chase, Truro and Gladys Anothony, Toronto; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren and dear friend, Pauline Milne, New Minas. Judy was predeceased by her sister, Winnie and brothers Amos and James all of Newfoundland. Cremation has taken place under the care of Lindsay's Funeral Home, no visitation by request. A private family committal will be held at Elmgrove Cemetery, Kentville at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
