TOWNSEND, BERNARD LESLIE The death of Bernard Leslie Townsend of Fredericton occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, September 19th, 2005. Born in Haliburton, ON he was the son of the late William and Molly (McGuire) Townsend. Bernard was a Veteran of WW11, serving 1939 to 1945 with Royal Canadian Artillery, serving in Europe. Bernard was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 4. Survived by three nephews Charles (Judith) Allport, William (Albertine) Allport and Richard (Lynn) Allport: four nieces Patricia MacFawn, Violet (William) MacFawn, Helen (Phil) LeFebvre and Deborah (Rejean) Arsenault Predeceased by his parents and his sister Gwendolyn Allport. Visitation will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home, with visiting hours Wednesday, September 22, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held from the J.A. McAdam Memorial Chapel Thursday, September 22, 2005 at 2:00 pm. Rev. John Cathcart will officiate. Interment will take place in the Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorial tributes may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the charity of the donor's choice.
