BERGIN, MARY A. Mary A. Bergin wife of the late Murdoch Bergin, passed away on September 21, 2005 at her home in Upper Blackville, NB. Born in Howard on March 29, 1912 in the Hennessy Home, she was the eldest of 10 children; daughter of the late Michael and Margaret (Bowes) Hennessy. Mary graduated in 1933 from the Saint Josephs Hospital as a Registered Nurse. She worked in Brooklyn, New York, Newcastle, New Brunswick and also did ever so much community nursing in the Upper Blackville area. Mary is survived by one son, Bob Bergin (Bertha) of Fredericton, NB; her daughter, Doreen Young of Calgary, AB; five grandsons; one step-granddaughter; one step-grandson; one great grandson; two brothers, Allison Hennessy (Irma) of Fredericton, NB and Frank Hennessy (Heloise) of Trenton, ON; one sister, Blanche Underhill of Fredericton, NB; special dog, Brandy and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by one son James; four brothers, James, Adrian, John and Harold Hennessy; and two sisters, Margaret Porter and Josephine Hennessy. Visitation will take place on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at Father A.A. McKinnon Memorial Room, Saint Raphael's R.C. Church, Blackville, NB. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 24, 2005 at 11am from St. Raphael's Roman Catholic Church with Father. Vincent Donovan as celebrant. Interment will take place at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Howard, NB. For those who wish, remembrances made to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
