Clair Louise Stowell (née Mills) July 02, 1934 - September 20, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Glen Eden Funeral Home (Winnipeg) With heavy hearts, the family of Clair Stowell announces the peaceful passing of their beloved wife, mother and grandmother on Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at the age of 71 years. Clair was predeceased by her parents Claude and Glenora Mills and her brother Glen. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Wally; son Wes (Irene Pankewycz) Stowell of Winnipeg, daughter Mary-Lou (Gord) Gibson of Regina, Sask., son Dean Stowell of Winnipeg and sister Betty Prouten of Qualicium, Beach, B.C. She also leaves to mourn 6 grandchildren; Antin, Stefan, Randie, Sarah, Nicole and Eric as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Clair enjoyed reading, spending time with her grandchildren and loved it when her own kids would bring their friends over throughout their upbringing and visit with “Mrs. Wes”. She was an avid season ticket holder with the Winnipeg Goldeyes Baseball Club since their inception and spent many summers with her family at their cottage in Grand Beach, Manitoba. The family wishes to express their deepest thanks to St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit for their kindness and assistance during these past few weeks. A graveside service for family will be held on Friday, September 23, 2005 at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens with a reception to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home.
