Tracy Burrell Esplen February 24, 1919 - September 22, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Leyden's Funeral Home (Calgary) It is with deep sorrow that the family of Tracy Esplen announce his passing at Care West Sarcee on Thursday, September 22 at the age of 86 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Bertha; children: Jim (Karen), Dorothy (Tim), Larry (Winnie); his cherished grandchildren: Brandy, Jody, Jesse, Rita, Shane and Desi. Also his sister Ruth and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Tracy was born in Regina, Saskatchewan on February 24, 1919. He served with the R.C.A.S.C. in World War II, stationed in Canada, England, Scotland, Sicily, Italy, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. After the war, he was employed with the CPR and later joined the Provincial Police force as law enforcement officer in Regina until his retirement in 1984. Tracy was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayer services to be held at Leyden's Funeral Home, 304 - 18 Avenue SW (on the corner of 17 Avenue and 2 Street SW) on Sunday, September 25, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Cathedral, 219 - 18 Avenue SW on Monday, September 26, 2005 at 10:00 a.m., with Reverend Larry Bagnall presiding. Interment will follow in the Field of Honour at Mountain View Memorial Gardens on 17 Avenue and Garden Road SE. The family would like to extend special thanks to the doctors and nurses, all the staff and Valerie at Care West Sarcee for their kind and loving care given to Tracy throughout his stay.
