William Robert Horinek March 25, 1918 - September 21, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Evergreen Funeral Chapel Bill was born March 25, 1918 at Kinsella, Alberta. He was the youngest of six born to Enoch & Matilda Horinek. He passed away peacefully on September 21, 2005 at the Royal Alexander Hospital. He struck out at the age of 17 to join his sister Christina in Edmonton, to attend “Madam Dey” hair dressing school. He went on to be one of the top hair stylists in Canada. In 1938 he opened his own salon. He met and married Eileen Green in 1940 and they worked together hair styling until retiring in 1971. Throughout their 65 years together (March 27, 2005) they experienced many adventurous travels from Mexico, Europe and Asia. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Eileen; one sister Agnes Allen and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his only son, William Fredrick (Billy), parents, sister and three brothers. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Evergreen Funeral Chapel, 16204 Fort Road, Edmonton. Cremation has taken place.
