Mrs. Blanche Estelle Harrop January 26, 1910 - September 26, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Halifax) HARROP, Blanche Estelle - 95, Halifax, died September 26, 2005, in Northwood Centre. Born in Little River, Digby Co., she was a daughter of the late Agnes and Roy Trask. Blanche was one of the very first residents of Northwood Manor and participated in many activities and organizations at Northwood. The family would like to express their thanks to all the staff at Northwood for their wonderful care of our mother. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Faulkner (Earl, deceased), Beverly (Ted) Caulier; sons, Robert (Rita) and Ronald (Deanne), all of Halifax; sisters, Patricia Barlow, Ottawa, Ont., and Doris Milner, Toronto, Ont.; brother-in-law, Ralph Watkins, Northwood Centre; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband, Harry; brothers, Harry (Bessie), Herman (Ada); sister, Winnifred Watkins. There will be no visitation by request. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 28, at 1 p.m. in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax, Rev. Jim Anderson officiating, followed by a reception in the funeral home. Family interment to follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lower Sackville. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
