Vivian "Jackie" Marion Ross (née Young) September 01, 1929 - September 01, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Lindsay's Windsor Funeral Home * ROSS……Vivian Marion “Jackie”, age 76, of St. Croix, Hants County, Nova Scotia, passed away on her birthday, Thursday, September 1st, 2005, at the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born on September 1st, 1929, in Windsor, Hants County, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Ethel (Smith) Young. Jackie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She was a very hard worker and especially enjoyed the outdoors. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Harley Ross; daughters, Cheryl Lowthers, Three Mile Plains; Phyllis (Stephen) Blanchard, Ellershouse; Donna (Garnet) Harvey, Sweets Corner; Betty (Kevin) Kelly, Brooklyn; Cathy, St. Croix; sons, Dwight (Vi), Newport Station; Richard (Gail), Newport Station; Mike (Janet), Brooklyn; Greg (Cindy), Poplar Grove; 22 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Davis, Dykeland Lodge, Windsor. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Murray and Bill Young; sisters, Kathleen “Peg” Phillips; Lola Hunter; Winnie Leighton. Visitation was 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, September 4th, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor. Funeral service was held, 2 p.m. Monday, September 5th, 2005, in the funeral home chapel, with The Rev. Garnet Parker officiating. Interment followed in the Ste. Croix Cemetery, St. Croix, Hants County. Donations may be made to the Arthritis Society (Nova Scotia Division), Ste. Croix United Church or a charity of one’s choice.
