Mr. James "Jim" Robert Penney April 03, 1945 - September 25, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Sands Funeral Chapel (Colwood) Penney, James Robert passed away peacefully at home, watching one of his many sports programs on tv, in Victoria BC on the weekend of September 25, 2005. Survived by his son, Christopher, his source of pride and joy; brother Richard (Rachelle) ; niece Evelyn (Peter) Diebel; nephew Keven (Pamela) Penney; great nieces Amber and Tia; great nephews Sebastian, Simon and Frederick; his ex-wife and dear friend Dianne (Art) Webb and their son Justin; many other extended family in Nova Scotia as well as many friends and colleagues who were like family to Jim. Jim was never at a loss for words and he always had a story to tell. His life took him from his birthplace in Liverpool, Nova Scotia to the Rockies at Banff to the outback of Australia and finally to Victoria. Jim loved golf and enjoyed many different sports. He lived life on his terms and he took the road less travelled. "Sieze with courage each opportunity and live each moment as it comes with hope for what is to be." Please think of Jim and smile. Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday October 2,2005 at the Travellers Inn City Centre, 1961 Douglas Street, Victoria, BC at 1:30 pm.
