Walter Fedikow Funeral arrangements by Marcotte Funeral Home & Chapel (Tecumseh) Born in Hamilton on August 20, 1917 and passed away peacefully in Windsor on September 30, 2005. Predeceased by wife Donna (2004), parents Fred and Natilda, step-father Samuel Antoniuk, brother John and nephew Carl. Lovingly remembered by his sister Mary Daneliuk, nieces Pat Pulkownik and husband Larry and Shirley Sobon and husband Leon, nephew Mark Fedikow and his sisters-in-law Marie Zvric, Pat Leary, Kaye Leary and Sharon Taylor, nieces and nephews Lynn and John Ponic, Tracey and Todd Leary, Greg and Nancy Zvric and Mark Taylor, may he rest in peace.Walter was a parishoner of Tecumseh United Church and a retiree of Daimler Chrysler. He served in the Royal Canadian Navy as an able seaman from 1940 to 1945. Walter was an active member of the Shriner's Organization and was a Life Member of Palace Lodge #604 A.F. & A.M., Life Member of Lodge of Perfection and Rose Croix, member of Moore Consistory (Hamilton), Member of Mocha Temple (London), Member of Moramos Shrine Club (Windsor), Honorary Member of St. Andrew Lodge #121 (Panama City, Florida) and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #255. Thank you to the staff at Regency Park Retirement Residence and Nursing Home for their loving care of Walter. The family will receive friends at the Marcotte Funeral Home & Chapel 12105 Tecumseh Road, Tecumseh (735-2830) on Tuesday, October 4, 2005 from 5:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 7:00 p.m. Rev. Sharon Willis-Whitewell officiating. Cremation will follow and the interment of cremated remains will take place at Victoria Memorial Gardens at a later date. In kindness memorial donations to Tecumseh United Church or to the A.L.S. Society of Windsor and Essex County would be appreciated by the family. A tree will be planted in memory of Walter Fedikow in the Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held in September of 2006. All are welcome.
