WILLIAMS, Alfred J. - October 25, 1926 - September 30, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Castle Funeral Home-Fallsview Chapel WILLIAMS, Alfred J. - Passed away peacefully at the Rocmaura Nursing Home on Friday, September 30th, 2005 at the age of 78. Husband of Gladys (Wallace) Williams. He retired from the Department of Labour as an Industrial Safety Inspector in 1989. Alfred enjoyed all sports and was an avid bowler. He was the son of the late Raymond and the late Gertrude (Hebert) Williams. Besides his wife, Alfred is survived by his daughters: Gail Handrahan (Wayne "Joe") of Saint John, Joanne (Elderkin) Mills (Rick) of Mill Cove and Lynn Belding (Stephen) of Chance Harbour and his son Roy (Marilyn) of Saint John and Tom, Mass., USA, his sister Christine Hebert, 13 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and by several nieces and nephews. Besides is parents, he was predeceased by his brothers: Arthur, Bill and Charles and his sister Isabelle Gifford. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John on Saturday, October 1st, 2005 from 7-9 p.m. and on Sunday, October 2nd, 2005 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Rose Church on Monday, October 3rd, 2005 at 2 o'clock. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family would appreciate donations to Alzheimer’s Association or to any charity.
