Gerald Alexander Benedict FLANNERY

FLANNERY, Gerald Alexander Benedict Passed away at the Palliative Care Unit, Lady Minto Hospital, Salt Spring Island on September 2, 2005. Gerry was born April 20, 1927 in Montreal, Quebec. He is survived by his wife Donna, sons Robert (Valerie), Steven (Diane), Patrick (Brenda) and John (Marion), daughters Suzanne (John), Mary (Marc) and Lorraine (Guy), many grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Predeceased by his parents Tom and Catherine, his sisters Mary, Margaret and Ellen, his brother Patrick and his daughter Julie. A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Grace, Salt Spring Island on Thursday, September 8 at 2:00 p.m. A wake will be held at McEvoy & Shields Funeral Home in Ottawa on Wednesday, September 14 from 7 to 9 p.m., followed by a mass at St. Anne church on Thursday, September 15 at 10 a.m. with interment to follow at Notre-Dame-des-Neiges cemetery. Gerald will be remembered for his dedicated service to his churches in Ottawa, Thompson Manitoba and Salt Spring Island.
