SHWED, Vera (nee Kurlak) With sadness we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Vera, Sunday, September 4, 2005 at St. Patrick's Home, at the age of 72. Vera was loved and will be missed by all. She is joining her beloved husband of 43 years, the late Theophil Stanley. Dear mother of Eugene (wife Maria) of Toronto, Dennis (wife Wendy) of Ottawa, Philip (wife Chantal) of Gatineau and Mark (wife Shara) of Ottawa. Loving Baba of Alexander, Lucas, Alanna and Sahara. Vera was active in the Ukrainian Catholic Women's League. Special thanks to all of Vera's caregivers and staff at St. Patrick's and Richmond Care Homes for providing happiness and comfort. Visitation at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 235 Kent Street, Thursday evening 7-9 with Panachyda at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass Friday at 1 p.m. in St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Shrine, 952 Green Valley Crescent.
