MERCIER, John. 1941 - 2005. At the Montreal General Hospital on September 5, 2005, at the age of sixty-four, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Survived by his loving and devoted common-law-wife of twenty-three years Johanne, his children Johnny, Paula, Jerome, Robert, and Patricia, also his grandchildren, his brothers Wilson, Lloyd (dear friend), Edmond, and Al, along with several close friends and family members. The family will receive condolences in the presence of the ashes on Friday, September 9, 2005 from 9:30 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 10 a.m. at the Saint John Brebeuf Church, 7777 George St., Lasalle. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Montreal General Hospital Oncology Department Published in the Montreal Gazette on 9/7/2005
