HAYES, Patrick Francis M.O.M. Superintendent, Ottawa Police Service Pipe Major Ottawa Police Pipe Band Sunday, September 18, 2005 Patrick Francis Hayes, age 55. Beloved son of the late Mary Hogan and Vincent Hayes and stepson of Ruby (Wattie). Beloved husband of Brenda (nee Merriman). Devoted father of Andrew (Katherine van Heugten) and Shannon Hayes (Marko Larabie). Pat will be dearly missed by his trusted friend, Piper. Loving brother of Michael (Paulette), Robert (Shirley), Shirley (Mike Flynn), Sharon (Paul Kelly), Janet (Jim McAuley) and Brian Wattie (Sheila). Loving brother-in-law of Jill and Dennis Weitzel, Kim and John Pullen, Tim and Anne Merriman and Tammy and Jon Hopkins. Lovingly remembered by his 22 special nieces and nephews. Pat will also be fondly remembered by the dedicated men and women he worked with in the OPS. The family wants to sincerely thank the very professional and caring doctors and nurses of the Intensive Care Unit of the Ottawa Hospital, Civic Campus and Dr. Forgie for her dedicated care. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 3000 Woodroffe Avenue (south of Fallowfield) Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday after 9 a.m. Funeral Thursday to Notre Dame Cathedral, Sussex Drive, for Mass of Christian Funeral at 10:30 a.m. In Memoriam donations to the Ottawa Police Pipe Band who will be preparing a Pat Hayes Memorial.
