Richard William MAJOR

MAJOR, Richard William (Bill) (M.W.O. Ret'd) Mar 9, 1943 - Aug 8, 2005 Born in Nelson, B.C. Suddenly passed away at home in Ottawa, Ontario. Predeceased by his father William Major, and brother Donald Downer. He leaves behind many loving family members: wife (Deborah) of Ottawa, ON; mother (Hazel Downer); daughter (Crystal Major); grandchildren (Richard and Shawna); sister (Noreen Gullacher) (Len), all of Courtenay, Vancouver Island, B.C.; nieces, nephews, many other family members and friends stretching across Canada. Many military (RCEME) members will also lovingly remember him, as he served 23 years as a Land Weapons Technician. Interment was in Courtenay, September 3, 2005.
