VACLAVIK, Elizabeth ("Betty") Mary (nee Tymchuk), With great love and wonderful memories the family and close friends of Elizabeth Vaclavik announce her peaceful passing on Aug. 20, 2005 at Greater Niagara General Hospital with her daughters Judith and Marion at her side. Betty was in her 85th year. She is predeceased by her husband, Rev. Henry Cenek Vaclavik (1973). Her generous caring spirit, positive outlook on life and steadfast faith remain beacons for all who remember her. Sincere thanks to the staff at Henley House in St. Catharines where she was an involved and active resident until the past few days. They embraced her and made her feel well-loved during the past 2 years. Our gratitude as well to special friends and the Palliative Care Team at Greater Niagara Hospital whose compassion and care made he last days peaceful ones. In accordance with Betty's wishes, cremation will be followed by a private family memorial. A service of Thanksgiving and Remembrance will be held on Sat . Sept. 17 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul St. United Church, St. Catharines. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Arthritis Society.
