HILL, Phyllis, Of Welland, at the NHS-Welland Site, on Saturday, September 17, 2005, in her 75th year. Cherished wife for 53 years to the late Fred Hill (June 30, 2005). Beloved mother of Kerry Hill (Jackie) of Port Colborne, Troy Hill of Welland an d Brooke Tardif (Claude) of Hamilton. Loving grandmother of Sean, Scott, Rhonda, Christy, Andrea, Dylan, Colin, & Liam. Loved sister of Irene Michener (Lyle) of Peterborough and Jackie Garner of Welland. Also predeceased by parents, Jack & Margaret D unn, daughter, Pamela, granddaughters, Rebecca & Rachel and brother, Bill Dunn. Born in Toronto, Mrs. Hill moved to Welland as a child, remaining a life long and productive resident of the community. She was a member of St. David's Anglican Church. A s well, Mrs. Hill was a historian, keeping extensive newspaper clippings from events that occurred throughout the years. She served as president of the Niagara Regional Historical Society for a great many years and was currently treasurer of the Soci ety. At home, Mrs. Hill kept records of every transaction and as well traced her family history back to Daniel Boone and Laura Secord. Friends are invited to visit at the H.L. CUDNEY FUNERAL HOME, 241 West Main Street, Welland, on Monday, September 1 9th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Reverend Doctor John Course of St. David's Anglican Church will conduct the funeral service in the Cudney Chapel on Tuesday, September 20th at 1:30 p.m. with interment to follow in Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Cohn's & Colitis Foundation would be deeply appreciated.
