Father of Carolyn Bridal (Cuernavaca, Mexico), Ellen Woolley (Doug) , Missoula, Montana, Charles (Nadine Carr), Midhurst, Ontario. Grandfather of John Bridal (Sooke, B.C.), Rolf Biehn (Vancouver, B.C.), Mary and Elliot Biehn (Midhurst, Ont), Rebecca Woolley (Park City, Utah), Lindsay Woolley (Miles City, Montana) and Amanda Woolley (Mammoth Lakes, California). Great-grandfather of Marina and Lucy Bridal (Sooke, B.C.). Predeceased by brother Telford (Tat) of Sarnia, Margaret (Start) of Windsor and Isabel (Oswald) of Chesley. A native of Chesley, Ontario he was th e son of Dr. Charles and Agnes Elliot Biehn of Chesley and Windsor. Graduated of Western, Ontario (Honours Bus Admin, 1939), Publisher and Editor of the Georgetown Herald (1940-1973), Member of St. Barnabas Anglican Church, St. Catharines, Probus Clu b, Branch 24 Royal Canadian Legion (army service 1942-1945). An avid bridge player, Walter was also very active community-minded individual during his many years in Georgetown. He was a member and secretary of the Lion's Club, Churchwarden and Men's Club President of St. George's Anglican Church, Town Council (3 terms), Secretary-Treasurer of the Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Georgetown Board of Education, and Board Member of the YM-YWCA. He was very attached to his family cottage at Inve rhuron Beach, Ontario and will be sadly missed by his many friends there as well as those in Georgetown and St. Catharines where he resided for the past 18 years. Memorial Service at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, 31 Queenston Street, St. Catharines, October 15, 2005, 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the St. Barnabas Church organ fund would be welcomed.
