PHILBRICK, James Alan, Passed away peacefully in is 84th year, at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, October 5, 2005 after a short illness. Ever loving husband of Alice and devoted father to Wayne, Gerald, Martin, Garth and Sandy, Ian and Tish and grandfather to Michael, Justin, Amanda, Melanie, Avia, Leah, Craig, Sarah, Matthew, Carly and Alicia and great-grandfather to nine more children. Alan served in the Air force during World War II. His working career was spent on the Vineland farm and at General Motors. His real career started 25 years ago when he retired and could spend all his time at auctions, in his shop and doing things with and for his family and friends. He served on the executive of the Rowing Alumni for years and gave relentlessly of his time keeping the clubhouse functioning. He has been cremated and wanted private family ceremonies. Family and friends will be gathering at The Rowing Alumni Clubhouse on Monday, October 10th at 1:00 p.m. to honour this great man. - 10/8/2005 - ID7187164
