James CRIPPS

James Cripps James Cripps, 86, died January 7, 2005 at the L&A County General Hospital in Napanaee after a brief illness. He was buried at the Cataraqui Cemetery. Mr. Cripps was born in Burk's Falls Ontario and had travelled throughout Canada during his career in the Armed Forces. He retired from the Armed Forces in 1969 and then worked as Assistant Administrator at Rideaucrest Home until he retired in 1983. He moved to Kingston in 1968 and had lived there until just recently when he moved to Na panee to live with his daughter Maureen. Mr. Cripps was a faithful member of St. John's Anglican Church in Portsmouth. He was a member of Cataraqui Lodge #92 - P.M., Ancient Frontenac and Cataraqui #1 Royal Arch - Past 1st Principle, Hugh de Payens P remier Preceptory #1, P.G.P., Royal and Select Masters - Very Illustrious Companion, Sovereign Great Priory of Canada, P.P.G.P., 1000 Island and Kingston Shrine Clubs, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite - 32 degree, Lactanian Conclave #35, Knights o f York, Cross of Honour, Order of the Eastern Star Kingston Chapter #146 - P.P., Order of the Amaranth - P.G.R.P., and the White Shrine of Jerusalem - P.W.S. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Addie, sisters Vera, Irene, Eva, Beryl, Muriel and Do ra and brother John. Surviving him are his two daughters, Janet VanLuven (Wayne) of Kingston and Maureen Haycock (Wayne) of Napanee and a son Brian Cripps (Ronalee) of Battle Ground, Washington, U.S.A. Rev. Chris Doering officiated at the funeral ser vice. Pallbearers were John Davidson, Ed Wood, Carl McCharles, Doug Stitt, Rollie Paddle, and Lloyd Timpson.
