Francis "Frank" J. Moore April 01, 1926 - October 16, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Halifax) MOORE, Francis J. "Frank" - The family announces with great sadness, the passing of Francis "Frank" J. Moore, age 79, on Sunday, October 16, 2005, in Northwood Manor, after a series of health problems over the past 15 months. Frank was a well-known resident of North End Halifax, and was an accomplished bowler for many years. Frank was retired from the Naval Research Establishment after 35 years of service. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., April 1, 1926, Frank was a son of the late Allen Moore and Gertrude (Robichaud) Moore. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife of 46 years, Doris Amanda (Judge); brother, George. He is survived by sons, Gary and Bruce, both of Toronto; daughter, Heather Higdon (Darren), Spryfield; daughter-in-law, Patti Moore, Halifax; grandchildren, Christopher and Ian, Victoria, B.C.; Alisha, Halifax; brothers-in-law, Jackie (Joan), Ken (Pearl) Judge; sisters-in-law, Ruby Connors, Ottawa; Jenny (LaPaix) Moore, Halifax; friend, Anna LaPierre. Cremation has taken place. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd. Funeral service in celebration of Frank's life will be held Wednesday, October 19, at 2 p.m. in Atlantic Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Dennis Andrews officiating with reception to follow.
