John Edmund Gerrard December 18, 1945 - October 15, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Lower Sackville) GERRARD, John Edmund - 59, Lower Sackville, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 15, 2005, at home. Born December 18, 1945, in Halifax, he was the son of the late Edmund and Rose (Solburg) Gerrard. John was an exceptionally dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He was known to many residents in the Halifax Municipality as "The Woodworm" and was the proud owner of Woodworm Carpentry Services. John was a man who always took pride in pleasing family, friends and customers. He had a big heart and an unforgettable sense of humour that will leave a prominent mark on many people's lives forever, especially that of his family. John is survived by wife of 37 years, the former Elizabeth Campbell; son, William Glenn Gerrard, Belgium; daughters, Michelle Gerrard, Nicole Gerrard, Lower Sackville; Victoria Gerrard, Wolfville; grandchildren, Jessica Favelle, Madilyne, Meriah, and Makaiyla Bolt, Rhys and Chloe Melnick; in-laws, Charles and Edith Campbell. He was predeceased by son, John Charles Gerrard; sisters; Faye Landry, Patricia Mifflin, Barbra Halfyard, and Shirley Yetman. Arrangements have been entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr., Lower Sackville, where John’s family will receive friends today from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday in Faith Baptist Church, 299 Stokil Dr., Lower Sackville, Pastor Kelly Holt officiating.
