JONES, LLOYD BASIL The death of Lloyd Basil Jones, husband of the late Ethel (Kelly) Jones, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on October 20, 2005 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Born on April 16, 1918 in Hamtown, NB, he was a son of the late Maurice and Mary (McCoombs) Jones. Lloyd is survived by his son, Dale Terrance Jones of Fredericton, NB; three daughters, Marlina Anne Gallagher (Dale) of Douglas, NB, Cindy Christine Smith of Fredericton, NB and Mary-Anne Jones of Halifax, NS; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Hazen Jones (Robena) of St. Lambert, PQ; two sisters, Etta Flood of Belleville, ON and Leona Brandwood (Jack) of Fredericton, NB; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he is predeceased by two brothers, Ralph and Vincent; and one sister, Annie Gill. There will be a Gathering of Friends at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Sunday, October 23, 2005 from 2 to 4 pm. A Graveside Committal Service will follow at Douglas Rural Cemetery, Fredericton, NB at 4:30 pm.
