Winnifred Mae BRIGGS

BRIGGS, WINNIFRED MAE The death of Winnifred Mae Briggs of Oromocto occurred Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Florence McGaghey. Winnie is survived by three sons, Gilbert Briggs (Karen) of Tracy, NB, Thomas Briggs (Laura) of Kingston, ON, and Frank Briggs of Portage La Prairie, MB; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Gerald Briggs in 2001 and a son David. There is no visitation scheduled. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 24, 2005 at the Scotchtown United Church, Scotchtown, NB with Rev. K. Ruth Stuart officiating. Interment will follow in the Scotchtown Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Minto Funeral Home (327-3490). [Daily Gleaner]
