Mrs. Vera Marjorie Riggs (née Bungay) August 17, 1925 - October 21, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Halifax) RIGGS, Vera Marjorie - 80, Halifax, passed away October 21, 2005, in the VG Site, QEII. Born in North Sydney, she was a daughter of the late George and Jenny (Dicks) Bungay. Vera will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Riggs; children, Joyce (Gary) Riley, Australia; Gary (Shauna) Riggs, Dartmouth; Richard Riggs, Sherry Riggs, Sandra Riggs, all of Halifax; brothers, Creighton Bungay, George (Ada) Bungay, Reginald Bungay, all of Cape Breton; sisters, Mary Stubbert, Sadie Roland, Joyce Mulley, all of Cape Breton; sisters-in-law, Marie Bungay and Beverley Bungay, both of Cape Breton; grandchildren, Christopher, Laura, Jennifer, Thomas, Adrien, Rhaea; niece, Ena MacFarland; many nieces and nephews. Vera was predeceased by brothers, Leo, William, Clyde, Murray; sisters, Cavelle, Susan. Arrangements are entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax, where visitation will take place 7-9 p.m. today and Sunday. Funeral service 11 a.m. Monday in Atlantic Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. James Haughn officiating. Reception to follow and interment in Oakridge Memory Gardens. Donations may be made in memory of Vera to Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
