Mary `Rita' Cassidy (Sept. 5, 1911 - March 26, 2005) Remembered and loved everyday since she passed peacefully away at Extendicare Kingston, March 26, 2005, in the presence of her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Leo J. Cassidy, she was predeceased by her cherished, only child, daughter, Joan Nolan (September 26, 2004). She leaves to mourn her loss, son-in-law Joseph Nolan, grandchildren John Nolan (and fiance Dionne Theriault), and Leslie Nolan Anderson (and husband Christopher), great grandson Nolan `Reed' Anderson, and sister Katherine Flynn. Rita was predeceased by her parents Dennis and Mary Bridget Healey (Keilty), brothers Franklin, Stafford and Andrew Angus Healey. Many nieces and nephews remember her with love. She was born and raised at Stoco, Ontario, where she spent her early years before moving to Ottawa to manage the home of a Member of Parliament and his wife. After her marriage in Ottawa (1939) this wonderful couple made their home in Tamworth, Enterprise and Kin gston. Rita was a spirited, energetic worker. She worked for at least a combined 60 years as a waitress at Morrisons Restaurant in Kingston, and at the 401 Service Centre near Wilton. She received a 25 year service pin from both establishments. Indee d, she loved to walk and meet and greet people. She enjoyed the laughter and company of many friends during the course of her life. The Mass of the Resurrection was held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Kingston on Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at 11:0 0 a.m. Celebrant Msgr. Joseph Lynch, pastor. The Rite of Committal was in the Church of the Assumption Cemetery, Erinsville, Ontario.
