SHORTT, Cecil Ross Cecil Ross Shortt, born February 7, 1943, suddenly after a recent illness, died at the KGH on Sunday, July 17, 2005, at 10:10 p.m. Predeceased by his adopted parents, Percy and Georgina (nee LaPointe) Shortt, and mother, Orpha Spro ule (nee Cox); also by brother Freddie Rose (Texas). He leaves behind Beverley J. Shortt (nee Trowsse), their children, Susan (Jeff Adam), Sandy (Jeff Hawley), and Toby and Heather (nee Clarke). Also lovingly missed by his granddaughters Crystal, Sop hia, and Bella Adam, grandson Keli Hawley, and twin grandsons, Jordan and Joshua Shortt. He also leaves behind his sister Diane Jakobsen (Lee Ann and Jason), brother Albert Shortt (BC), sister Yvonne (Orrin) Splane, sisters Debbie Sproule, Sharon Bie le (Sask), and brothers Doug and David Sproule. Visitors, friends and family will be received at the Central Chapel of the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Homes, 49 Colborne St. (at Clergy) on Wednesday between the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Servic es will be held Thursday in Our Chapel at 11 a.m. Interment following at Sandhill Cemetery.
