SLINGER, Roy Former Alcan Employee Passed away peacefully on September 8, 2005, after a courageous battle with cancer, in his 70th year. Roy is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Beryl; his sisters Janet Slinger of Australia and Beryl Nicholso n and brother Michael Slinger both of England. Roy is predeceased by his parents James William and Doris Slinger and his brother Robert Slinger. He will be sadly missed by his aunt Molly of Kingston, his nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces in E ngland and his cousins in Canada. In keeping with Roy's wishes cremation will be followed by a Memorial Service in the Chapel of the James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui Chapel (John Counter Blvd. at Highway 2) on Monday, September 12, 2005 at 11:00 a. m. A reception will follow the service in the reception centre of the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario at the Kingston General Hospital would be greatly appreciated by the family.
