MAHONEY, Charles On Sunday, September 18th, Charlie Mahoney, died peacefully at his favourite place on earth - the family cottage. He was in his 81st year. Beloved husband of the late Jean Mahoney (Kearney), and cherished father to Theresa (Randy), C huck (Jan), Susan (Scott), Jim (Lily), John (Ethel), Jean (Norm). Charlie was the coolest grandpa in the world to Dan, Ryan, Matthew, Caity, Sarah, Adam, Colleen, Isaac, Shaylah and Circe. Son of the late Captain Charles Mahoney and Bernadette Kenny, predeceased by brothers Denis and Gerard and sisters, Mary, Bernadette and Theresa. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and special friends. Charlie worked in the Physical Plant of Queen's University for many years. Friends will be received at the Township Chapel of the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Homes, 435 Davis Drive on Wednesday between the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Rite of Committal with prayers will be said at St. Mary's Cemetery.
