NEWTON, Rev. John Robert Suddenly at the Kingston General Hospital on Wednesday, September 21, 2005. Rev. John Robert Newton of Seeley's Bay in his 66th year. Beloved husband of Mary Newton (van der Horden). Loving father of Karen Vogelzang (Robert) of Seeley's Bay. Dear brother of Harold Newton (Bea) of Belleville; and Helen Wallace (Bev) of Cambridge. Predeceased by sister Norma Jean Ferguson and parents Erwin and Marie Newton. Son-in-law of Hank and Mary Van der Horden of Ottawa and brother-i n-law of Gerry Merkel (Carl) of Ottawa and Patricia McInnes (Greg) of Ajax. Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Camden Gospel Assembly in Enterprise on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Service in the Ch urch on Saturday, September 24 at 1:00 p.m. (visitation from 12 noon.) Interment Olivet Cemetery, Seeley's Bay. Memorial donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Pine Grove Free Methodist Church Building Fund or the Gideon Bible Society wou ld be appreciated by the family.
