McSHANE, Wayne Thomas, MD Peacefully at home with his family by his side on September 24, 2005. He died as he lived, with grace and dignity. He was 63. Wayne, beloved husband of Elaine (Mountjoy). Loving father of Julie (Mike Fenton) of Toronto; Heat her (Scott Hunter) of Toronto; Valerie (Matthew Horwood) of Georgetown. Cherished son of Tom and Buella McShane, Kingston; dear brother of Jim McShane (Janice), Kingston. Proud grandfather of Erin, Matthew, Graeme, and Mae. Predeceased by his infant sister Shirley. As a physician with the Brampton East Medical Group, Wayne faithfully served his community for 37 years. As a member of the Field Botanists of Ontario, he was an avid botanist and photographer with a special interest in Native Ontario wildflowers, especially orchids. He was a voracious reader with a wide range of interests. His life was a journey, not a destination, and he lived it one day at a time. Friends may call at the Ward Funeral Home, 52 Main St. S. Brampton (905) 451-212 4 on Friday, September 30 from 6-9. The memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at St. Paul's United Church, 30 Main St. S., Brampton on Saturday, October 1, 2005 at 10:30 with a reception to follow.
