Dorothy Mary SADURA

SADURA, Dorothy Mary Peacefully on October 3, 2005 at the Kingston General Hospital in her 79th year. Dearly beloved wife of 54 years to Jozef. Beloved mother of Anna (Roger), Steven (Kathryn) and Michele (Alan). Dear grandma to Meaghan, Heather and Rachel Sadura; Nicholas, Graeme and Martha Healey; and Scott, Sarah and Anneka Perry. Lovingly remembered by relatives and friends in Britain. Born in England, Dorothy emigrated to Canada with her husband in 1953, and they settled in Kingston in 1955 . She worked at the Locomotive Company for a short time before leaving to start a family. While at home caring for her family, Dorothy participated in a variety of organizations and programs such as Home-and-School, the Guides, and the `Y', and enjoy ed various college courses, and after her children grew up, she went back to work for some years in the office of what is now KDACL. After her retirement, Dorothy took up water-colour painting, and created many beautiful pictures and cards treasured by family and friends. Some of her happiest times were spent with her family at the cottage built by her husband. Dorothy passed on to her children her love of music and nature. Resting at the James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui Chapel (John Counter B lvd. at Highway 2). Friends will be received on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Thursday, October 6, 2005 at 4:30 p.m. A private family interment will be held at Cataraqui Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
