Dear son of Geraldine Purdy of Ottawa and the late Joseph Purdy. Dear father of Gillian (Randy) of O ttawa, Ryan (Dinah) of Sudbury. Dear brother of Stephen (Mary) of Ottawa. Cherished grandpa of Zachary. Dear son-in-law of Myrtle Benger of Ottawa and the late John Benger. Dear brother-in-law of Shirley (David), Melodie (David), Sandra, Bonnie (Mich el), Tim (Jill). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. "Liturgy of the Word" will be held in St. Columbanus Church, Elgin on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rite of Committal, St. Columbanus Cemetery, Elgin. Following the committal service the family will receive friends for a time of fellowship and refreshment at the Elgin Lions Club Hall, Main Street, Elgin until 7 o'clock.
