Ada Isobel Burton, 80 Ada Isobel Burton, of Prescott, died on Sept. 27, 2005 at St. Vincent de Paul Hospital, Brockville, at the age of 80. She was born on Dec. 10, 1924 at Cobourg, Ont., to her parents Albert Woods and Lucille Ball. She worked as an accounting clerk at Bell Canada. She is survived by her daughters Barbara (Mrs. Ken Durand) and Jane Burton (Ian Hornsby), her son Philip Burton (Jean Burton-Fox), grandchildren Kenneth Louis Burton Durand (Mindy), Kathleen Elizabeth (Mrs. Jahpong Adongo), Wilson and Riley Burton-Fox, great grandchildren Matthew and Lauren Durand and Jabu Adongo and by her sister Elizabeth Woods. She was predeceased by her husband Harvey John Burton and sister Marjorie Clive. By request, there was no visitation. A memorial service was held on Sept. 29, 2005 at St. John's Anglican Church, Prescott. Reverend Gerry Ring officiated. She was cremated at Capitol Memorial Gardens. A committal service took place on Oct. 1 at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Scarborough. Memorial donations can be made to St. Vincent Palliative Care and the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
