Darwin Lewis, 75 Darwin Lewis, of Cardinal, died on Oct. 10, 2005 at St. Vincent de Paul Hospital, Brockville, at the age of 75. He was born on May 16, 1930 to his parents Edward Leath Lewis and Marie Beaudoin. He was an engineer at Rhom and Haas. Mr. Lewis is survived by his wife Mary McCrimmon Scott of Cardinal, his children Michael Lewis of Toronto, Colleen Lewis of Toronto, Katherine and her husband Roger West of Kitchener and Wendy Fraser of Stony Plains, Alberta and his siblings Shirley Blanchfield of North Bay, Dorothy Stinson of North Bay, June Stewart and her husband Russell of Whitby, Eleanor and her husband Dave Lavey of Fort Erie and Floyd Lewis of Abbotsford, British Columbia. Friends and family visited at the Chris Slater Funeral Home, Prescott on Thursday, Oct. 13. The funeral service was also held Oct. 13 in the chapel. Deacon Bill Heasley officiated. Cremation took place at Hope Cemetery and Crematorium on Oct. 12. A committal service was held on Oct. 13 at Woodlawn Cemetery, Cornwall. Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. Vincent Palliative Care.
