Helen Frances Gorveatte 1913 - 2005 The death of Helen Frances Gorveatte, age 92, of Moncton, N.B. occurred on Monday, October 24, 2005 at the ProTem Health Services Home in Moncton, N.B. Born on March 4, 1913 in Springhill, N.S., she was the daughter of the late O.C. Layton and Gertrude Oliver. Helen was a member of Middle Sackville Baptist Church and formerly resided in Moncton for over fifty years, where she was a member of First Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing the piano and was a lover of music and flowers. She will be greatly missed by her son, Kenneth Layton Gorveatte of Brooksville, Florida, USA; two daughters-in-law, Shirley Gorveatte of Moncton, N.B. and Margaret Ann Gorveatte of Dartmouth, N.S.; nine grandchildren and twenty seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Ralph Borden Gorveatte; and two sons, Donald Keith Gorveatte and Oliver Douglas Gorveatte. Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell's Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 25, 2005 from 7 to 9 PM at Campbell's Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will take place at Campbell's Funeral Home, Sackville, on Wednesday, October 26, 2005 at 2 PM with Rev. Vernon Vickruck officiating. Committal will take place at the funeral home and the burial will follow in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens, Moncton, N.B. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Helen may be made to the Middle Sackville Baptist Church or to the charity of one's choice. [Times & Transcript]
