Mr. Frederick Joseph Hills June 27, 1928 - October 24, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Halifax) HILLS, Frederick Joseph "Fred" - 77, Halifax, passed away October 24, 2005, in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Leonard and Laura (Churchill) Hills. Fred was employed with CNR for many years as a switchman. He was with the Reserves in the 1940's working as a messenger. He was an avid marksman, loved fishing, hunting and the outdoors. He was most recently employed as a taxi driver with Blue Bell, then Yellow Cab. He is survived by his daughter, Belinda Pettipas, Liverpool; son, Stephen, Dartmouth; sister, Alice (Byron) Radley, Milford Station; sweetest sister-in-law, Ena Hills, Rockingham; four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax, Rev. Helen Waddell officiating. Burial in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor.
